Imagine yourself in a situation where you have no idea who someone is, but you're connected!?
Well in South Of Pico, that's what we witness. Four individuals living their own lives in South of Pico Blvd in Sunny L.A. When danger stirkes.
Carla (Gina Torres), a waitress, lives a lonely existence despite the matchmaking attempts of her eleven year old neighbor, Francine. A regular at her diner tries to break through her shell by asking her out. Can she let someone in or has her past damaged her beyond repair
Dr. Walter Chambers (Henry Simmons) is a child cancer specialist on the verge of collecting a huge research grant. He needs to keep his cool to get it, whilst also trying to help a young boy who is in pain and dying and whose parents refuse to accept the inevitable.
Robert (Kip Pardue) is a philandering limo driver, who 'doesn't get it' says his girlfriend when she leaves with the last of her belongings. He later drives a sexy and sarcastically savvy Bride to her wedding and a furtive encounter with her awakens his heart and propels him to go after his girl before she leaves town.
Patrick (Soren Fulton), a gawky fifteen-year-old, is emboldened when the pretty girl at school flashes him a smile. She may be out of his league but a rendezvous with his absentee father is more on his mind. He speeds through the seedy parts of LA to meet him, but he may just be setting himself up for another disappointment.
Overall, South of Pico is an emotionally charged drama where people find themselves at the center of a tragic-accident leaving their lives balanced in their own hands. The chance of survival is desired as the next person. In a town where there is a spr%waling thoroughfare that seperates the rich from the poor, who wil survive?
